Microsoft retail partner Amazon.com may have pre-announced retail availability of Vista SP1.
It looks as if a key Microsoft partner jumped the gun and announced the retail availability of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) a little early. What’s more, it may have let the cat out of the bag for online availability as well.
Amazon.com announced on its Web site – inadvertently or not – that Vista SP1 will be available for download Tuesday, March 18 for some customers. The disclosure came as Amazon was promoting the pending availability of SP1.
