WD Debuts 1TB Portable Drive

Lake Forest, Calif. – Western Digital today introduced two internal portable hard drives, one with a 1TB capacity.

The Western Digital Scorpio Blue 750GB and 1TB are based on SATA 2.5-inch platters. Each has a 3GBps data transfer rate and can be used in any notebook, as well as mobile storage devices like Western Digital My Passport, the company said.
