Intel Names High-End Nehalem Chips Core i7

Washington (ChattahBox) – Intel has confirmed that the names for their first high-end Nehalem processors will be called Core i7, and will ship out later this year.

Intel is working to manufacture the new Core i7 chips, using a 45-nanometer manufacturing process.

This new family of processors is expected to be far more energy-efficient, and far faster than previous offerings.
