Microsoft to drop prices on flash-based Zunes

Forget the iPod this holiday season. If Apple doesn’t drop prices on its players on Black Friday, then you should look into buying a Zune music player for a loved one now that Microsoft is dropping prices on all its flash-based players in order to make them more affordable during the holiday season. Prices on the 80GB and 120GB Zunes will remain the same though.

Zune Insider reports the portable player, which closely resembles the iPod nano, will be selling for $100 (4GB), $140 (8GB), and $180 (16GB).
